About

Launched in February 2023, The Gilded Acorn is the student-run creative writing publication of Adams House, an undergraduate residential house at Harvard University. It seeks to highlight a diversity of voices in our community by publishing a wide variety of content and maintaining inclusivity and accessibility as core values. Adams House historically and currently celebrates individuality while maintaining a strong sense of community; thus, The Gilded Acorn strives to uphold Adams House values.

The Gilded Acorn is organized through The Adams Creative Writing Forum, a community initiative founded by current co-Presidents Katie Catulle '24 and Vivienne Germain '24 in September 2022. The Adams Creative Writing Forum meets weekly on Tuesdays at 7:30 pm in the conservatory; all members of the Adams House community are welcome to attend any and all meetings. We currently hold writing spaces, editing workshops, and social events.

All members of Adams House are encouraged to submit work to The Gilded Acorn. We aim to accommodate all submissions, but we reserve the ability to turn down work that may be harmful to members of the community. We do not tolerate plagiarism. Please contact us if you feel any work on our website is inconsistent with these policies.
